Uncoupling primary care from insurance is essential. No other system uses insurance for predictable, low-cost, and expected incidents. For example, car insurance is not used for oil changes, new tires, and replacement of brake rotors. This would cause undue higher costs, lack of transparency, and poorer quality.
Imagine the absurdity of getting prior approval for a tank of gas out of network!
Instead, for a monthly fee, you have direct access to your doctor. No annual contracts and no co-pays. A typical family practice empanelment is between 3000 - 5000 people. We intentionally limit our practice size to a fraction of this to ensure unparalleled access and the highest level of care.
About Dr. Olsen
As an Osteopathic Physician, her practice emphasizes a holistic approach to patient care, the interconnection of the body's systems, and Osteopathic Manipulation Techniques (OMT).
Over 13 years as a practicing physician in both active duty military and the private sector, Dr. Olsen has held roles in primary care, occupational medicine, and geriatric medicine. She is highly regarded by her patients and among her peers.

Icon Medical DPC does not accept commercial insurance. Our members typically are able to drop their high cost - low deductible insurance policy and move to a low cost - high deductible HMO/PPO or even just a Catastrophic policy. This drastically reduces insurance cost (up to 60%) while still retaining peace of mind for an unforeseen crisis. Keeping a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) allows for the creation of a Heath Savings Account (HSA) which is a tax shelter account (2025 IRS limits are $4300 individual, $8550 for family, +$1000 catch ups age 55 or older).
There is no cost for any appointment with Dr. Olsen. All follow ups and tele-health visits are included in your membership fee. The only cost you will incur will be for services performed by outside agencies like labs or specialists, which will be billed at a lower direct service rate. These costs will always be known before the service is provided.
There is no annual contract or long term commitments.
